The leading authority on musical assessment, the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM), has invested in NNT’s compliance-ready solution to address its PCI DSS needs of file integrity monitoring, vulnerability scanning, configuration change monitoring and event log management
NNT Ltd, a leading provider of PCI DSS and general security and compliance solutions, announced today that UK-based charitable organization ABRSM, the world’s leading specialist in music assessment, has selected NNT software to deliver on large sections of its PCI DSS compliance responsibilities. ABRSM will be using the NNT solution to help ensure it meets and maintains its PCI DSS compliance requirements, safeguarding student payment card and personal details for its worldwide transactions that amount to more than 600,000 per year across 90 countries.
ABRSM has implemented NNT Change Tracker and NNT Log Tracker to audit its IT systems for vulnerabilities and to alert the organization to any changes to configuration, file systems, registries and other settings that could result in a breach to the network. NNT Change Tracker manages the file integrity monitoring, vulnerability scanning and configuration change monitoring aspects of PCI DSS, while NNT Log Tracker deals with event log management for Requirement 10 of the regulations.
For ABRSM, a key component of the NNT solution is its ability to manage PCI DSS across multiple platform types, such as AS/400 and Microsoft Windows, to ensure there are no blind spots on the network.
“NNT came out on top for a number of reasons,” says Peter Kyrannis, Networking and Infrastructure Engineer at ABRSM. “Not only have we got an auditor-ready PCI DSS solution that was implemented in hours rather than days, we also have an extremely cost-effective solution that covers all the PCI DSS requirements we need to fulfill – vital, given our worldwide reputation for excellence.”
Russell Willcox, Chairman at NNT comments: “The development of both Change Tracker and Log Tracker is driven by an objective to make PCI DSS compliance as simple and cost-effective for our customers as possible. We recognize that traditional ‘main brand’ solutions for PCI DSS have been seen as too expensive and beyond the budgets of non-profits, charitable and low-margin organizations and we wanted to offer an alternative that doesn’t compromise functionality but is available at an affordable price.”
