CVS has shut down its CVSPhoto.com website as it investigates a potential payment card breach.

A CVS spokesperson confirmed to SCMagazine.com that the vendor partner is PNI Digital Media.

PNI Digital Media is reportedly the same company that operates the photo website for Walmart Canada, which announced a potential payment card breach earlier this month that resulted in the company shutting down walmartphotocentre.ca.

This latest payment card breach further highlights the urgent requirement for a high standard of PCI compliant security standards in order to protect and secure confidential data.
