The online identities of thousands of Britons are currently available for purchase on the Darknet, with thousands infiltrated from government databases.
Information leaked from the UK Government, which includes highly confidential data like tax and social security information, is on sale for around $75. It’s still unclear when this information from UK citizens was stolen, but the investigation is still underway.
This comes just after the notorious TalkTalk breach which allowed hackers access to names & addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers, TalkTalk account information & credit card and banking details.
